To the Greater Pleasant Branch Baptist Church Family: It is a blessing to greet you, the Body of Christ! We have seen another year go by, and witness the great things the Lord has done. He, and He alone has allowed us to be here, and we give Him all the praise. God continues to bless this church, in that He allows us to come together week after week to praise His holy name in our Praise and Worship services, and Bible Study and Prayer Meeting. We know we have only progressed this far by the help of the Holy Spirit. Our Helping Others Prepare to Excel (H.O.P.E.) preschool has continued to grow, and has provided a setting for our congregation’s talented school teachers to provide a rich foundation for many young minds. Through our Food Pantry and Community Fest, we have continued to show the Love of God to our surrounding community. The theme we adopted this year, “Christ Is The Head”, lets us know that Jesus is the head of the church, and He has sustained this body of baptized believers for 128 years. Colossians 1:18, our theme’s scripture reference states: And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. If we continue to be led by Jesus Christ, and Him alone, we can be confident that we will have victory over adversity. “Do all the good you can, in every way you can, for as long as you can… “ Reverend and Mrs. J.R.
